Once Ike transitioned to America he came to Baltimore, Maryland. While in Maryland he decided to enroll into the state college and began his journey in becoming an electrical engineer. After Ike had accomplished his goal and received his degree he began to work for the Corps of Engineers. Following the Corps, Ike had a great career working for the Naval Academy in Maryland. He worked for the academy for five years and then was transferred to the Department of Defense in Phoenix, Arizona.
